The world has changed

Well with Katrina hitting New Orleans this week and displacing so many people the world of camping ministry is changing. We received a e-mail on Saturday which pretty well knocked the wind out of our staff. All camps have been ask to do whatever we can to house displaced families. We have sister camps within 75 miles of us preparing to handle up to 1000 people. The way HIS Children's Camp is layed out we would be better suited for family groups. We have just received our wastewater permit and are in need now of resources to get it but in a BIG hurry. We are looking at changing over to all same cabins to be able to house more families for 5 - 8 months. Please hold the camp up in prayer as we pray for God's clear path and resources. The one thing which keeps coming to mind is on our brochures the frount page says HIS Children's Camp A Place of Refuge. I would have never dreamed it would start out as a refuge camp.
